According to the Dallas Morning News, police are looking for Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice. This is in relation to a car accident in Dallas.
At 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, a crash on the North Central Expressway involved a car that authorities believed Rice either owned or rented. Law enforcement officials told the Dallas Morning News that police are looking for Rice. He is 23 years old. However, they did not say what happened in the accident. Kristin Lowman is a spokesperson for the Dallas police. She said that two cars, a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini, were speeding. The drivers lost control, causing an accident with four cars. The Corvette and Lamborghini drivers ran away from the scene of the accident. Four people had received care for minor injuries. According to the Dallas Morning News, police think Rice was behind the wheel of the Corvette.
Sunday morning statistics on Dallas County Jail showed Rice’s title not appearing.
Growing up in Dallas-Fort Value, Rice attended SMU in Dallas for four years playing school soccer.
The Chiefs selected the receiver from the second-round of the draft, and as a rookie he was a crucial member of the Kansas offense. With 79, Rice ranked second on the workforce in receptions behind just Travis Kelce. He led the team with seven touchdowns.
Rice caught six receptions in the Tremendous Bowl to help the Chiefs win a second-straight championship. He ranked second among rookie receivers in receiving yards in 2023.
